SALTY 2009

Very large, self-adaptive distributed systems.

SALTY (Self-Adaptive Very Large Distibuted Systems) is an “industrial research” project that aims to provide an autonomic framework for Very Large Distributed Systems. The scientific advances that will be made are to ensure that (1) the self-adaptability capabilities are directly manipulable at runtime as such, (2) these capabilities are directly included and manipulated by software developers. This project provides a contribution that goes beyond the state of the art in the areas of model-driven engineering for very large scale systems, service and component infrastructures, workflows , autonomic and self-adaptive computing, decision-making processes, service contracts and large-scale deployment.
