Smart 4G Tablet

The “Smart 4G Tablet” project of the SECURED COMMUNICATIONS SOLUTIONS Competitiveness Cluster (SCS) aims to invent a future where nomadic terminals are free from any wired connection. Wireless access to communications networks has become commonplace for some years now. Today it is about cutting the “last wire” that connects our equipment to the electricity grid. These tablets will approach the objective of electric autonomy by the use of a transparent photovoltaic film integrated in the screen of the tablet and associated with advanced solutions of economy and management of the energy.

It is also a question of guaranteeing on this nomadic equipment a communication rate equivalent to that of the wired solutions thanks to the 4G / LTE wireless technology and a very high level of security for the protection of contents including the aspects user interfaces and management of energy. The tablet, a multi-function nomadic terminal for both the consumer and professional markets, is the vehicle of choice for such a company.

In addition, this tablet offers, through the combination of contactless communication solutions (NFC) and the new-generation SIM card, the UICC, a particularly fertile application field linked for example to payment, or to an easier customization of the tablet with an automatic broadcast of services offered by mobile communication operators.
