SUMAC

Semi-Supervised Cooperative Learning of Multimedia Concepts for Categorization and Concepts Detection.

Sumac proposes to explore original learning strategies for identifying multimedia entities from identification patterns.

The intended application is the categorization of multimedia information flows, for example such as those processed by the Wikio portal.

The locks consist of finding optimal combination forms of audio, video, and text classifiers, adapted to new emerging categorizations. The use of patterns provides a unified framework in which different combination rules can be formulated. Active learning techniques will be used to optimize the need for annotation for constructing new patterns and adapting existing patterns. An evaluation will be conducted from the feeds processed by Wikio.
