GESTe

Security Evaluation Group of Electronic Terminals.

The GESTe project aims to propose a certification methodology adapted to the payment terminal market and to demonstrate the feasibility of a terminal that meets the SEPA (Single Euro Payment Area) security requirements.

SEPA aims to standardize payment methods in Europe and will be accompanied by a strengthening of the security of payment terminals, including the transition to “Common Criteria” certification, a globally recognized security evaluation scheme.

The project brings together the various actors of the chain, namely industrialists, evaluation laboratories, a prescriber, digital security laboratories, a research entity of the legal field.

The results of the project will be presented to the “JTEMS” working group in charge of implementing security within SEPA.
