MyMed

myMed: a cross-border IT network for content exchange in a fixed and mobile environment.

The objectives of this project are the design, prototyping and experimentation of a mobile and geo-sensitive social network in order to improve the exchange of information and the creation of personalized services in the Alcotra cross-border zone.

myMed proposes to combine the functionalities offered by the social networks with the needs and peculiarities of the Alcotra cross-border zone to meet (non-limiting) needs such as:

• The creation of cross-border services with high added value, meeting the supply and demand of the inhabitants and companies of our region;

• Effective technology transfer between competitiveness clusters and French and Italian universities;

• Dissemination of reliable and geo-sensitive information to very demanding groups;

• The reduction or elimination, as far as possible, of the geographical divide due to the difficulties of moving in the inter-region;

• The provision of support instruments for mobility and integration, through measures to develop and enhance the community character of the cross-border zone.
